Little Lake Inn is all on one level, so there's no lugging your bags up steep Victorian staircases! With the exception of the Blue room, all rooms have separate entrances, giving you better access, more privacy, and your own outdoor sitting area.
With it's 11 foot ceilings Little Lake Inn was originally a commercial building, belonging to the Chew Lumber Company, and was relocated to the current site overlooking Little Lake around the time of the First World War. It operated as a Tourist home in the l940's, when train loads of tourists visited from the Toronto area; and was once owned by the Mayor of Midland.
Guests have full use of the guest dining lounge, with card and games table for chess or checkers, plus magazines, travel books. and a large movie & CD library. The guest lounge, with sofas, fireplace, and extra large windows gives a surprising view of the garden and Little Lake Park, making it look as if you were "'at the cottage" rather than the middle of town.
The covered deck overlooking the garden, park and lake is a favourite spot and offers a great view all year round. Help yourself to ice, and enjoy a cool drink before going out for dinner. To further enjoy your visit with us, check out our Dining page.
For business and tourist travellers alike, we have Wireless High-speed Internet service, fax, telephone, copier and printer.
"Dave and I would just like to say how much we enjoyed staying in your beautiful B & B this weekend. We really felt at home with all your special little touches in the rooms and the freedom you give your guests - it was more than we would ever expect. Your breakfast was delicious and your hospitality endearing. We look forward to future stays with you."
